Spotted Cuscus
The Spotted Cuscus is a marsupial native to the tropical forests of New Guinea and surrounding islands. It is known for its distinctive spotted fur, which helps it blend into the dappled light of its forest habitat. This nocturnal animal primarily feeds on leaves, fruits, and flowers, using its strong limbs to navigate through the trees.
Spotted Cuscuses are medium-sized, with a body length of about 50 to 70 centimeters. They have a prehensile tail that aids in climbing and balancing. As a member of the Phalangeridae family, they play a crucial role in their ecosystem by aiding in seed dispersal.
