Cuscus
Cuscus is a small, nocturnal marsupial native to Australia and New Guinea. It belongs to the family Phalangeridae and is known for its fluffy fur, large eyes, and long tail. Cuscus primarily inhabits forests and feeds on leaves, fruits, and flowers, making it a herbivore.
There are several species of cuscus, including the Common Cuscus and the Spotted Cuscus. These animals are excellent climbers, using their strong limbs and prehensile tails to navigate through trees. Cuscus play an important role in their ecosystem by helping to disperse seeds and maintain forest health.
