Spanish settlers
Spanish settlers were individuals from Spain who traveled to the Americas during the Age of Exploration, starting in the late 15th century. They sought new lands for colonization, wealth, and the spread of Christianity. Many settled in regions that are now part of Mexico, Central America, and the southwestern United States.
These settlers established missions, towns, and farms, significantly impacting the indigenous populations and cultures. They introduced new crops, animals, and technologies, while also facing challenges such as conflicts with native tribes and harsh environmental conditions. Their legacy is still evident in the culture and demographics of many Latin American countries today.
