Spanish Education System
The Spanish Education System is divided into several stages: Infantil (preschool), Primaria (primary education), Secundaria (secondary education), and Bachillerato (higher secondary education). Children typically start Infantil at age three, followed by Primaria from ages six to twelve. After completing Primaria, students move on to Secundaria for four years, where they prepare for either Bachillerato or vocational training.
Bachillerato lasts for two years and is aimed at students who wish to pursue higher education. After Bachillerato, students can take the EBAU (university entrance exam) to gain admission to universities. The system is regulated by the Spanish Ministry of Education and emphasizes both academic and vocational pathways.
