Soyuz 39
Soyuz 39 was a crewed spaceflight mission that launched on March 27, 1981, as part of the Soyuz program. It carried two cosmonauts, Viktor Patsayev and Yuri Malyshev, to the Salyut 7 space station. The mission lasted for about 7 days, during which the crew conducted scientific experiments and performed maintenance tasks on the station.
The mission was notable for being the last flight of the Soyuz 7K-T spacecraft variant. After successfully completing their objectives, the crew returned to Earth on April 5, 1981, landing safely in Kazakhstan. Soyuz 39 contributed to the ongoing collaboration in space exploration during the era of the Soviet Union.
