Southern Sami
Southern Sami is one of the indigenous languages spoken by the Sami people in northern Europe, primarily in parts of Norway and Sweden. It belongs to the Uralic language family and is distinct from other Sami languages, such as Northern Sami and Lule Sami.
The Southern Sami language has a rich cultural heritage and is traditionally associated with reindeer herding and the natural environment. Efforts are ongoing to revitalize and preserve the language, as it faces challenges due to declining speakers and the influence of dominant languages in the region.
