South Korean baseball
South Korean baseball is a popular sport, governed by the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO). The KBO League, established in 1982, features ten teams that compete in a regular season followed by playoffs. The league is known for its passionate fans, vibrant stadium atmosphere, and unique traditions, such as cheering with organized chants and songs.
The sport has produced notable players, including Park Chan-ho, the first South Korean to play in Major League Baseball (MLB). South Korea has also achieved international success, winning the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2009 World Baseball Classic, showcasing the country's growing talent in the sport.
