South African Air Force
The South African Air Force (SAAF) is the aerial warfare branch of the South African National Defence Force. Established in 1920, it plays a crucial role in defending the country's airspace and supporting ground forces. The SAAF operates a variety of aircraft, including fighter jets, transport planes, and helicopters, to carry out its missions.
In addition to defense, the SAAF is involved in humanitarian efforts, disaster relief, and peacekeeping operations. The force also participates in international exercises and collaborations, enhancing its capabilities and fostering relationships with other nations' air forces.
