Sotho Languages
The Sotho languages are a group of Southern Bantu languages primarily spoken in Lesotho, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. The main languages in this group include Sesotho (or Southern Sotho), Setswana (or Tswana), and Sepedi (or Northern Sotho). These languages share similar grammatical structures and vocabulary, making them mutually intelligible to some extent.
Sesotho is the official language of Lesotho and is recognized in South Africa as well. The Sotho languages are part of the larger Niger-Congo language family, which is one of the world's largest language families. They play a significant role in the cultural identity of the Sotho people and are used in education, media, and daily communication.
