Sonar Sensors
Sonar sensors, short for Sound Navigation and Ranging sensors, use sound waves to detect objects and measure distances. They emit sound pulses and listen for the echoes that bounce back from nearby objects. This technology is commonly used in underwater applications, such as submarines and fishing boats, to locate schools of fish or underwater obstacles.
In addition to marine uses, sonar sensors are also employed in various fields, including robotics and automotive technology. For example, autonomous vehicles utilize sonar sensors to navigate and avoid obstacles, enhancing safety and efficiency in transportation.
