Son La Dam is a large hydroelectric dam located on the Da River in Son La Province, Vietnam. Completed in 2012, it is one of the largest dams in Southeast Asia, with a total installed capacity of 2,400 megawatts. The dam plays a crucial role in generating electricity for the national grid and helps regulate water flow in the river. The construction of Son La Dam also created a large reservoir, which covers an area of approximately 9,000 hectares.
