Hoa Binh Dam
Hoa Binh Dam is a large hydroelectric dam located on the Da River in Hoa Binh Province, Vietnam. Completed in 1994, it is one of the largest dams in Southeast Asia, providing significant electricity to the region. The dam has a total installed capacity of 1,920 megawatts, contributing to the national power grid.
The reservoir created by the dam covers an area of approximately 8,000 hectares, supporting local agriculture and fisheries. Additionally, Hoa Binh Dam plays a crucial role in flood control and irrigation, helping to manage water resources in the surrounding areas.
