Somali People
The Somali people are an ethnic group primarily found in the Horn of Africa, particularly in Somalia, Djibouti, Ethiopia, and Kenya. They share a common language, Somali, which belongs to the Cushitic branch of the Afro-Asiatic language family. The majority of Somalis are Sunni Muslims, and their culture is rich in oral traditions, poetry, and storytelling.
Somali society is traditionally organized into clans, which play a significant role in social structure and identity. The economy is largely based on pastoralism, agriculture, and trade. In recent years, many Somalis have migrated abroad due to conflict and instability, contributing to a global diaspora.
