Somali National Front
The Somali National Front (SNF) was a political and military organization formed in the late 1980s in Somalia. It emerged as a response to the oppressive regime of President Siad Barre and aimed to unite various clans against his government. The SNF primarily represented the interests of the Darod clan and sought to establish a more equitable political system in Somalia.
After the fall of Barre in 1991, the SNF became involved in the complex civil war that followed. The organization struggled to maintain influence amid the rise of other factions and warlords. Eventually, the SNF's power diminished, and it became less prominent in the ongoing conflict in Somalia.
