Solutréan culture
The Solutréan culture refers to a prehistoric group of people who lived in Europe around 21,000 to 17,000 years ago during the Upper Paleolithic period. They are primarily known for their distinctive stone tools, particularly the finely crafted leaf-shaped blades and laurel leaf points, which were used for hunting and processing animals.
This culture is named after the Solutré site in eastern France, where many artifacts were discovered. The Solutréans are believed to have been skilled hunters, often targeting large game such as mammoths and reindeer. Their way of life reflects a deep understanding of their environment and the animals they hunted.
