Solar Core
The solar core is the innermost layer of the Sun, where nuclear fusion occurs. This process converts hydrogen into helium, releasing vast amounts of energy that powers the Sun and produces sunlight. The core is extremely hot, with temperatures reaching about 15 million degrees Celsius.
Surrounding the core is the radiative zone, where energy moves outward through radiation. Beyond this is the convective zone, where hot plasma rises and cooler plasma sinks, creating convection currents. Together, these layers play a crucial role in the Sun's structure and energy production, influencing solar activity and the solar system's climate.
