Softball Field
A softball field is a designated area where the game of softball is played. It typically features a diamond-shaped infield with four bases: first base, second base, third base, and home plate. The outfield is the grassy area beyond the infield, where players catch fly balls and field grounders.
The field is usually 60 feet between bases, and the pitcher's mound is located 43 feet from home plate in fast-pitch softball and 50 feet in slow-pitch softball. The dimensions and layout may vary slightly depending on the level of play, but the basic structure remains consistent.
