Soft Tissue Tumors
Soft tissue tumors are abnormal growths that develop in the soft tissues of the body, such as muscles, fat, blood vessels, and nerves. These tumors can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). While benign tumors may not cause serious health issues, malignant tumors can spread to other parts of the body, making early detection and treatment important.
Common types of soft tissue tumors include lipomas, which are benign fatty tumors, and sarcomas, which are malignant tumors that can arise from various soft tissue types. Diagnosis often involves imaging tests and biopsies, while treatment may include surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy, depending on the tumor's nature and location.
