Soft Magnets
Soft magnets are materials that can be easily magnetized and demagnetized. They are typically made from iron, nickel, or cobalt alloys, which allow them to respond quickly to magnetic fields. These magnets are commonly used in applications like transformers, inductors, and magnetic shielding, where rapid changes in magnetization are required.
Unlike hard magnets, which retain their magnetism, soft magnets lose their magnetism when the external magnetic field is removed. This property makes them ideal for use in electronic devices, such as motors and speakers, where temporary magnetization is essential for efficient operation.
