Socialist League
The Socialist League was a political organization in the United Kingdom that emerged in the late 19th century. Founded in 1881, it aimed to promote socialist ideas and advocate for workers' rights. The League was influenced by the ideas of Karl Marx and sought to unite various socialist factions under a common platform.
The Socialist League played a significant role in the early labor movement, participating in campaigns for social reform and better working conditions. It eventually dissolved in 1890, but its legacy continued to influence later socialist groups, including the Independent Labour Party and the Labour Party.
