Soaps and Detergents
Soaps and detergents are cleaning agents that help remove dirt and grease from surfaces. Soaps are made from natural fats and oils, combined with an alkali, which creates a substance that can dissolve in water. They work by breaking down oils and dirt, allowing them to be washed away.
Detergents, on the other hand, are synthetic compounds designed to clean more effectively in hard water. They contain surfactants that lower the surface tension of water, making it easier to lift dirt and stains. Both soaps and detergents are commonly used in household cleaning products, laundry, and personal hygiene.
