Sleep Training Methods
Sleep training methods are techniques used to help infants and young children learn to fall asleep independently. Common approaches include the Ferber Method, which involves letting the child cry for gradually increasing intervals before offering comfort, and the Chair Method, where a parent gradually moves further away from the child's crib each night until the child can sleep alone.
Another popular method is the No Tears Method, which focuses on comforting the child without letting them cry. Parents may use gentle techniques, such as patting or soothing words, to help the child feel secure while learning to self-soothe and sleep through the night.
