Sky Woman
Sky Woman is a central figure in many Indigenous North American creation stories, particularly among the Iroquois. She is often depicted as a woman who fell from the sky world, bringing life and fertility to the Earth.
Upon her descent, Sky Woman landed on the back of a giant turtle, which became known as Turtle Island. She gave birth to twin sons, who represent opposing forces in nature, and her actions are said to have shaped the world, establishing the balance between good and evil.
