Skogafoss
Skogafoss is one of Iceland's largest and most stunning waterfalls, located on the Skoga River in the southern part of the country. With a height of 60 meters (197 feet) and a width of 25 meters (82 feet), it creates a breathtaking sight as water cascades down its rocky cliff. The waterfall is easily accessible from the nearby Ring Road, making it a popular stop for tourists.
Visitors can walk right up to the base of Skogafoss and feel the mist from the falling water. There is also a staircase leading to a viewing platform at the top, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. On sunny days, rainbows often appear in the mist, adding to the waterfall's charm.
