Sizewell B
Sizewell B is a nuclear power station located on the Suffolk coast in England. It is the only pressurized water reactor (PWR) in the United Kingdom and began operations in 1995. The facility generates electricity by using nuclear fission to heat water, producing steam that drives turbines.
The power station has a net electrical output of approximately 1,190 megawatts, enough to supply around 2 million homes. Sizewell B plays a crucial role in the UK's energy mix, providing low-carbon electricity and contributing to the country's efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
