Sitatunga
The Sitatunga is a semi-aquatic antelope found in central and southern Africa. It is well-adapted to swampy and marshy habitats, with long, splayed hooves that help it walk on soft, muddy ground. Sitatungas have a shaggy, water-repellent coat that can vary in color from brown to gray, providing excellent camouflage among reeds and grasses.
Males are larger than females and possess long, spiral horns that can reach up to 90 centimeters in length. Sitatunga are herbivores, primarily feeding on aquatic plants, grasses, and leaves. They are known for their excellent swimming ability, often submerging themselves to evade predators.
