Sir Peter Scott
Sir Peter Scott was a British ornithologist, painter, and conservationist, born on September 14, 1909. He was the son of the famous explorer Robert Falcon Scott and became known for his work in wildlife conservation, particularly for his efforts to protect wildfowl and their habitats. Scott founded the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust in 1946, which focuses on the conservation of wetlands and the birds that inhabit them.
In addition to his conservation work, Scott was an accomplished artist, often depicting birds in his paintings. He was also a prominent figure in the world of television, where he hosted the popular program "Look," which educated viewers about nature and wildlife. Scott was knighted in 1973 for his contributions to conservation and the arts.
