Sir James Paget
Sir James Paget was a prominent British surgeon and pathologist born on January 11, 1814. He is best known for his contributions to medical science, particularly in the field of pathology. Paget's work laid the foundation for understanding various diseases, and he is credited with describing Paget's disease, a condition affecting bone structure.
In addition to his research, Paget served as a surgeon at St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London and was a key figure in the establishment of the Royal College of Surgeons. He was knighted in 1871 for his services to medicine and continued to influence the field until his death on December 30, 1899.
