Sir Isaac Isaacs
Sir Isaac Isaacs was an Australian lawyer and politician who served as the Governor-General of Australia from 1936 to 1945. Born on August 6, 1855, in Melbourne, he was the first Australian-born person to hold this prestigious position. Isaacs had a distinguished career in law and was appointed to the High Court of Australia in 1906.
