Sir Bob Geldof
Sir Bob Geldof is an Irish musician, songwriter, and political activist, best known for his role as the lead singer of the rock band The Boomtown Rats. He gained international fame in the 1980s with hits like "I Don't Like Mondays." Geldof is also recognized for his humanitarian efforts, particularly in response to the Ethiopian famine.
In 1985, he co-founded the charity supergroup Band Aid and organized the iconic Live Aid concerts, raising millions for famine relief. His work has earned him numerous awards, including a knighthood in 2006 for his services to music and charity.
