Silverback Gorilla
The Silverback Gorilla is a large primate found in the forests of central Africa. It is the adult male of the Western Gorilla species, characterized by its silver hair on the back, which develops as it matures. These gorillas are social animals, living in groups called troops, typically led by a dominant silverback.
Silverback gorillas are primarily herbivorous, feeding on leaves, stems, and fruits. They play a crucial role in their ecosystem by helping to disperse seeds. Despite their size and strength, they are generally gentle and exhibit complex social behaviors, including nurturing their young and forming strong family bonds.
