Sikh Scriptures
The Sikh Scriptures, known as the Guru Granth Sahib, are the central religious texts of Sikhism. Compiled by the Sikh Gurus, the scripture contains hymns and writings that emphasize the importance of devotion to God, equality, and community service. It is considered the eternal Guru by Sikhs, guiding their spiritual and moral lives.
The Guru Granth Sahib is written in various languages, including Gurmukhi, and features contributions from Sikh Gurus as well as other saints from different backgrounds. Sikhs treat the scripture with great reverence, often placing it on a raised platform and reciting from it during religious ceremonies and daily prayers.
