Sigebert I
Sigebert I was a king of the Franks who ruled from 561 to 575 AD. He was the son of Clovis I, the first king of the Franks, and Clotilde. Sigebert governed the eastern part of the Frankish kingdom, with his capital in Reims. He is known for his efforts to promote Christianity and for his relatively peaceful reign compared to other Frankish rulers.
Sigebert I was married to Brunhild, a powerful queen who played a significant role in his reign. After his death, Sigebert's kingdom faced turmoil due to conflicts with his half-brother, Chilperic I, leading to a series of power struggles in the region.
