Siamese Revolution
The Siamese Revolution, also known as the Siamese Coup of 1932, was a significant political change in Siam (now Thailand) that transformed the country from an absolute monarchy to a constitutional monarchy. This revolution was led by a group of military and civilian leaders known as the People's Party, who sought to limit the powers of the king and establish a parliamentary system.
The revolution occurred on June 24, 1932, without significant bloodshed. The King of Siam, King Prajadhipok, eventually accepted the new constitution, which marked the beginning of modern political development in Thailand. This event laid the groundwork for future political movements and changes in the country.
