Shuja-ud-Daula
Shuja-ud-Daula was the Nawab of Awadh from 1754 to 1775. He was born in 1732 and was the son of Safdar Jung. His reign was marked by significant political and military challenges, including conflicts with the British East India Company and rival regional powers.
During his rule, Shuja-ud-Daula sought to strengthen his territory and maintain independence. He is known for his efforts to modernize the administration and military of Awadh. His alliance with the Mughal Empire and other regional leaders played a crucial role in the dynamics of 18th-century Indian politics.
