Shivratri
Shivratri is a significant Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the principal deities in Hinduism. It is celebrated annually, usually in February or March, on the 14th night of the dark fortnight in the month of Phalguna. Devotees observe fasting, night vigils, and prayers, seeking blessings for spiritual growth and well-being.
On this day, many people visit Shiva temples to offer milk, honey, and fruits to the Shivling, a symbolic representation of Lord Shiva. The festival is also a time for reflection and meditation, as followers believe that worshipping Shiva on this night can lead to liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
