Shirley Jones is an American actress and singer, born on March 31, 1932, in Charleroi, Pennsylvania. She gained fame for her roles in musical films during the 1950s and 1960s, including her performance in Oklahoma! and The Music Man. In addition to her film career, Jones is well-known for her role as Shirley Partridge in the popular television series The Partridge Family, which aired from 1970 to 1974. Throughout her career, she has received several awards, including an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Elmer Gantry.
