Shire Horses
Shire Horses are a large and powerful breed known for their strength and gentle temperament. Originating in England, they were traditionally used for heavy farm work, pulling plows, and transporting goods. Their impressive size can reach up to 17 hands tall, and they often weigh over 1,000 pounds.
These horses have a distinctive appearance, featuring a broad head, strong neck, and feathering on their lower legs. Shire Horses come in various colors, including black, bay, and gray. Today, they are popular in draft horse competitions and are also cherished as family pets due to their calm nature.
