Shia theology
Shia theology is a branch of Islamic belief that emphasizes the role of the Imams, who are considered the rightful leaders and spiritual guides after the Prophet Muhammad. Shia Muslims believe that these Imams are divinely appointed and possess special knowledge and authority to interpret the Quran and Islamic law.
Central to Shia theology is the concept of Imamate, which asserts that the Imams are infallible and serve as intermediaries between God and the people. Shia Muslims also place significant importance on the events of Ashura, commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, the grandson of Muhammad, which symbolizes the struggle against oppression and injustice.
