Sheng Yen
Sheng Yen was a prominent Taiwanese Buddhist monk and teacher, known for his efforts in promoting Chan Buddhism in the West. Born in 1930, he founded the Dharma Drum Mountain organization, which focuses on education, cultural activities, and social welfare, emphasizing the importance of mindfulness and compassion.
