Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy
Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is a Pakistani journalist and filmmaker known for her impactful documentaries that highlight social issues in Pakistan and beyond. She gained international recognition for her work, particularly for films like Saving Face, which won an Academy Award in 2012. Her storytelling often focuses on women's rights, education, and the challenges faced by marginalized communities.
In addition to her Oscar-winning work, Obaid-Chinoy has received numerous awards, including the Emmy Award and the Asia Society's Asia Game Changer Award.
