Shakespeare's Globe is a modern reconstruction of the original Globe Theatre, where many of William Shakespeare's plays were performed in the late 16th and early 17th centuries. Located on the banks of the River Thames in London, it opened to the public in 1997 and aims to provide an authentic experience of Elizabethan theatre.
The theatre features a circular design with an open roof, allowing natural light to illuminate performances. It can accommodate around 1,500 spectators, similar to the original venue. Shakespeare's Globe also includes a visitor center that offers exhibitions and educational programs about Shakespeare and his works.
