Shai Agassi
Shai Agassi is an Israeli entrepreneur and former CEO of Better Place, a company focused on electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. He was born on November 9, 1968, in Ramat Gan, Israel, and studied computer science at the Technion. Agassi gained recognition for his vision of a sustainable transportation system that included battery-swapping stations for electric cars.
In 2007, Agassi founded Better Place, aiming to promote the use of electric vehicles by addressing charging and battery issues. Despite initial enthusiasm and investment, the company faced challenges and ultimately filed for bankruptcy in 2013.
