Sh2
Sh2, or Sh2-132, is a bright emission nebula located in the constellation of Cassiopeia. It is part of a larger complex of star-forming regions and is known for its vibrant colors, which are produced by ionized gases. The nebula is approximately 1,500 light-years away from Earth and is a site of active star formation.
The nebula is often studied by astronomers to understand the processes of star birth and the dynamics of interstellar matter. Hubble Space Telescope images have captured its intricate structure, revealing the presence of young stars and dense clouds of gas and dust that contribute to the ongoing formation of new stars.
