Serial SCSI
Serial SCSI (Small Computer System Interface) is a communication protocol used to connect and transfer data between computers and peripheral devices, such as hard drives and scanners. Unlike its parallel predecessor, Parallel SCSI, which transmits multiple bits simultaneously, Serial SCSI sends data one bit at a time, allowing for higher speeds and improved efficiency.
This technology supports various devices and can connect multiple devices in a single chain, enhancing flexibility in system design. Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) is a common implementation of Serial SCSI, providing advanced features like error correction and better performance for enterprise storage solutions.
