September 11 Memorial
The September 11 Memorial is located in New York City at the site of the former World Trade Center. It honors the nearly 3,000 victims of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, and the earlier bombing in 1993. The memorial features two large reflecting pools set within the footprints of the original twin towers, surrounded by a grove of trees.
In addition to the pools, the memorial includes bronze panels inscribed with the names of those who lost their lives. The site serves as a place of remembrance and reflection, inviting visitors to pay their respects and learn about the impact of the events on the nation and the world.
