Seongsan Ilchulbong
Seongsan Ilchulbong, also known as Sunrise Peak, is a volcanic crater located on the eastern coast of Jeju Island in South Korea. Formed by a volcanic eruption over 100,000 years ago, it rises 182 meters above sea level and features a unique circular shape with steep cliffs. The area is renowned for its stunning sunrises, attracting many visitors each morning.
The site is part of the Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can hike to the summit via a well-maintained trail, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including the ocean and nearby Udo Island.
