Sensory Nervous System
The sensory nervous system is a part of the nervous system responsible for processing sensory information from the environment. It includes sensory receptors that detect stimuli such as light, sound, touch, taste, and smell. These receptors send signals to the brain, allowing us to perceive and respond to our surroundings.
This system consists of various components, including the eyes, ears, skin, tongue, and nose. Each of these organs contains specialized cells that convert different types of stimuli into electrical signals. These signals travel through sensory neurons to the central nervous system, where they are interpreted and integrated, enabling us to experience sensations.
