Sensory (Sensation)
Sensory, or sensation, refers to the process by which our bodies detect and interpret stimuli from the environment. This involves our five primary senses: sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch. Each sense has specialized receptors that respond to specific types of stimuli, such as light, sound waves, chemicals, and pressure.
The information gathered by these sensory receptors is then transmitted to the brain, where it is processed and interpreted. This allows us to experience and understand our surroundings, helping us react appropriately to different situations. Sensation is a fundamental aspect of how we interact with the world.
