Seneca People
The Seneca People are one of the six nations of the Haudenosaunee, also known as the Iroquois Confederacy. They primarily reside in western New York and parts of Pennsylvania. Traditionally, the Seneca were known for their agricultural practices, particularly growing crops like corn, beans, and squash, often referred to as the "Three Sisters."
Historically, the Seneca played a significant role in the fur trade and were known for their strong warrior culture. They have a rich tradition of storytelling, art, and spirituality, which continues to be an important part of their identity today.
